Caring for your mat

Proper care is recommended for best results and prolonged life.

  • The polytubes are rigid when new, and may move apart slightly over time.
You can apply warm water when rigid and massage the strands to correctly sit in place. The rigidness will disappear when in use, leaving you with a softer feeling mat for ultimate comfort.
  • Do not hang the mat up or drape it over a fence or clothesline.
  • The 4m, 5m and 6m mats come with 6 eyelets. Be sure to peg down all 6 in windy conditions.
  • Do not over tighten the screws down too tight into the eyelets or you may damage the fixings - simply screw lightly to the ground.
  • Be sure to use appropriate screw-in mat pegs for the eyelets.

Things to remember:

  • Be careful of rocks, roots and other sharp objects under the mat, be sure to clear the area before use.
  • Don't drag furniture over the mat, lift and carry instead.
  • Don't push chairs and tables near the edge binding.
  • Don't put hot pans or dishes directly on your mat
  • Don't pull on the eyelet corners.
